DUES 2024

 

 DUES INVOICE WILL BE SENT OUT JANUARY 1ST 2024. DUES WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PENALTY UNTIL 

APRIL 30TH. THEREAFTER THERE IS A $50 FINE PER LOT.

2024 DUES ARE  US CURRENCY $80 US OR $108 CANADIAN due to exchange RATE) per lot (which is based on the budget voted by members at the annual meeting).  There will be a 10% interest charge, compounded annually per lot, on any unpaid dues.  After a lot owner is 6 months in arrears, the account will be turned over for legal action.

Please be sure to include your NAME, ADDRESS, TELEPHONE CONTACT #, and

Lot #(s) when sending your check to insure proper credit.

This year dues are $80 US and $108 CA .

As you may know, each property deed in the Campobello Island Club development has been researched to determine whether any exceptions were granted to the payment of dues by the original developer.

​

​

When a lot owner fails to pay annual dues, financial responsibility falls to those who do pay.

​

In fairness to all, past CIC Board of Directors took this issue to the Canadian Court (Campobello Island Club v. Goodhue, 2006 NBQB 412 (CanLII) bringing suit from its members.

The entire court decision was IN FAVOR of the CIC in collecting dues from its members.

​

 [38]  "In my opinion, the Respondents are liable for payment to Campobello Island Club, Inc. of all sums due pursuant to the provisions of the Restrictive Covenants contained in the Respondents' Deed provided such sums are properly incurred and levied against the property owners in accordance with the building scheme. "
